sociability & design (2): heuristics

Last year I posted on research carried out by Motorola in "sharing practices" and the augmentation of Usability Design by Sociability Design. I have revisited Jakob Nielsen's 10 Usability Heuristics through the social software lens. Some general changes are the replacement of "system" by "relationship", "user" by "participant" and "interaction" by "exchange". Click on the table to enlarge.

some nice posts recently Matt :)

I'd love to see more focus on sociability & design going on in the webby world. Seems like things could be so much better than they are now. User control and freedom is fascinating (relationship control and flexibility)

So Jasmin - what are we going to do about that?

I plan to rock up to Bar Camp Sydney with some big diagrams and give it a go.

Any other suggestions?
