twitter

I know that Twitter is old hat to you ker-azy Web 2.0 kidz but I've gradually been getting into it in the last couple of weeks. There is an ACT-KM thread going on about applications of Twitter to the enterprise at the moment. My thinking can be summed up in the following 2 slides:

Matt, Nicely synthesized. Prompts me to then think about "traditional internet or intranet website is to wiki as..." where traditional website is in lower-left quadrant and wiki is in upper-right quadrant.

Regarding my earlier comment -- rethinking trying to place traditional websites in lower-left.

Of course they aren't "closed" in the same sense as email...rather only closed to editing (contrast to viewing) by the masses.

So I'd see wikis as being upper left. They are "heavy" in terms of content (i.e. more than 140 characters) but public (as a default) rather than private. I think "public/private" might be better than "open/closed".

I sense another diagram coming on...
